As regards to the message sent on the 18-7-08, we had been trainin every sunday morning and during the week, sometimes twice, making that three times a week. If thats not putting your shoulder to the wheel, than what is. If you want to blame anyone, then point a finger at the guy's takin the minor hurlers on the age to intermediate trainings and matches for mostly mere bench warming outings. Aghabullogue till I die!!!!

06/08/08
why is it that winning underage teams are not rewarded by the club.say with a day out some where carting ,a big match etc,I think this would keep the intrest more alive in playing when it is increasingly difficult to keep young players . Reply:
Aghabullogue GAA will always do its best to encourage all our players to continue playing our national games. We concentrate on providing excellent facilities and coaches for our young players. We believe that the playing of our games for Aghabullogue is the most important part of our club. If our underage teams are successful in any competition then of course we will celebrate their achievements.
A victory night is held every December for Aghabullogue underage winning teams. This event is usually attended by one of the Cork Senior hurlers and/or footballers.
The parents of each player are invited and medals are handed out to the winning teams. At last years event gear bags, socks and shorts were presented to the victorious County U12 team. When an underage team reaches a final they are brought back to the GAA Centre in Coachford for some refreshments.
This year the U12, U10 and U8 teams were taken to Rossmore to play Kilmeen, The bus with the players travelled to Clonakilty for a meal and then on to Pairc Ui Chaoimh to see Cork Playing Dublin in the All Ireland Hurling championship. This trip was funded and organised entirely by the club.
Training and organising of any trip requires help and we would ask anyone who has any spare time to join the team looking after our underage players.

To the e-mailer who wanted to know on the 30/7/08 if the U-21 hurlers were training, yes they are. If you would like to know more about the club "THE AGM" will be advertised on this site next December. You are very welcome to come down to the pitch. It's in Coachford below the church and you can help out with training, matches, underage, etc. Best of luck to the Camoige team this evening and also Corcaigh ABU for Sunday next.

there was a question recently on 1/07/08 asking why 1 or 2 of the clubs best hurlers were not playing any more.over 60 players were contacted early this year inviting them to play hurling with the club. obviously some made the choice not to play and that has to be respected.
21/07/08
Any idea if the club will be getting tickets for the match on sunday and how i cud get some? Thanks Reply: People looking for tickets (Stand €35, Tce €20) should contact John Tarrant, Peter Dineen or Willie Barrett. Tickets will probably be drawn on Thursday night in Coachford at 9pm. Tickets must be paid for and collected on the night.
