22/04/07 Aghabullogue 7-07 Kilnamartyra 2-02 Aghabullogue captured the Mid-Cork Under 12 Football League title at Rusheen on Sunday with a hard fought win over Kilnamartyra. This proved a much tougher clash than the group game, Kilnamartyra played quite well with their goalkeeper Michael Desmond in outstanding form. However the Aghabullogue lads stuck to their task throughout the game and eventually pulled away in the second half. Oliver Lynch scored some great points. Cian Herlihy also had an excellent game, and along with Ciarán Cummins, scored a goal in the first half. On the turnover, super sub David O'Connell, coming back from injury, crashed home two great goals to seal the win for the green and whites. Captain, Sean O'Sullivan, received the trophy to great cheers from all the team's supporters. It was a great team performance played in a fine sporting manner and every player on the panel, as in all the games up to now, played a part.
