Aghabullogue were crowned Mid-Cork U14 B football champions following their emphatic victory over Naomh Aban on Sunday 9th August, 2009. Naomh Aban opened the scoring with a point from play, but Aghabullogue replied with a great display of scoring, with Evan O'Sullivan scoring one goal and one point and Ian Barry Murphy scoring three points from frees. Naomh Aban replied with a goal and a point before Evan O'Sullivan kicked a rocket of a shot to the back of the Naomh Aban net. Naomh Aban added two points from play, which were then quickly cancelled out by a great goal from David O'Connell. Ian Barry Murphy added a point from play and Conor Murphy added another goal for Aghabullogue just before half time, leaving the half time scoreline as 4-05 to 1-04 in favour of Aghbaullogue.

Naomh Aban made somewhat of a come back in the second half and scored 1-01 in the opening minutes. Ian Barry Murphy then added two points from frees for Aghabullogue. Naomh Aban then added what was to be their last score of the match, a goal from play. Aghabullogue then upped the ante again and points from Sean O'Sullivan, Billy Casey, Ryan Dennehy and Conor Murphy, ensured a great victory for the boys in green and white. Great credit is due to the players and mentors for the skillful and determined display of football.

Aghabullogue now go on to represent Mid Cork in the County competition, details of which are yet to be announced.
